School Term Volunteer

Our school welcomes volunteers from around the world for short or long-term.

Due to Visa rules, we can only consider applicants who either already have visas to the US or are coming from a country with a visa waiver program or from a country where visas get processed rapidly.

Teachers and Aunties provide the foundation of the school; however, we also welcome split positions according to space availability and the talent of the applicant.

Volunteer Opportunities are only open to practitioners of Sahaja Yoga.

Information regarding compensation or reimbursement for Volunteer expenses is available upon receipt of the Application.

Teacher position

“Teachers have a big responsibility to make their lives such that the children learn, and they have a great personality as an example for them. Children should remember in the future that they had a teacher who had this special quality in him.“

- H.H. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, India, Dec. 15th, 1983 (Translated from Hindi)

Dorm auntie position

“To make them feel secure, we’ll have ladies from other places… who will just volunteer to come down and take charge of [a few] children personally. They’ll look after them and they’ll be properly trained beforehand how to treat the children with kindness and understanding and love and also how to teach them how to share things, how to enjoy sharing and generosity... So the little groups of … children, will be in charge of one lady;  she’ll look after their clothes, she’ll look after them so they will not miss the mother part of it and they will grow up in a proper understanding of a mother and a security.”

- H. H. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, U.K., 1985
